Owen & his family, The Bridgewater's

Meet Owen. He looks like any typical 6 year old boy, but unlike most 6 year old little boys Owen has endured more pain and heartache than most adults.
Owen has Leukemia.
He was diagnosed in June and has since undergone weekly chemo treatments and numerous spinal taps and bone marrow biopsies. He still has a couple months of weekly treatments and then will have monthy treatments for the next 3 years. Throughout all of this, he has maintained a positive attitude and his fun loving personality.
I felt honored when Owens Mom contacted me about doing some family portraits before Owen lost his hair from the next round of chemo. What a sweet little boy he is, I enjoyed a perfect fall afternoon with Owen & his sweet family. This is my first (of many, I hope) "Same Difference" sessions featuring individuals with special needs.
Love & Hugs to Owen and his family as they continue through this journey.

I think the Bridgewaters know all too well how through times like these all you have is faith, so I felt this was a perfect verse for them.

EnJoY!

Aww that touches my heart. My friends son who is J's age is fighting Leukemia as well. It's a lonnng road. But the strength of these kids is amazing. They are amazing examples of God's love..and they show us how to truly hope for things unseen. Great pictures, Heather!
