The Gardel Family

What a cool family! They totally rocked the urban look, the cool doorways, old brick walls, and unique alleys was the perfect location for them. Besides who couldn't love these darn cute kids, I don't think they could take a bad picture if they tried!

The Smith Boys

These two entergetic boys were so cute to photograph. We played in the leaves, took a nice fall stoll, and just enjoyed letting their personalities shine.

The Zimmerman's

I love this family! I've been blessed to know the Zimmermans since their oldest son was just a baby. Its such a blessing to have a network of friends with special needs children to turn to. I'm so greatful to have the Zimmermans in my life! Thanks for letting me capture your amazing family!

I picked this verse because being a parent or a sibbling of a special needs individual teaches us so much about Gods love. I truly belive we are blessed to have them in our lives...

The Eason Family

I loved meeting the Easons, thir kiddos were just the cutest (even if smiling for the camera was the last thing they wanted to do!) We played in the leaves, watched the fish in the pond, and managed to distract them long enough to get a few happy pictures. Ahhh, to have the energy of a toddler...

I just love this picture...

The Beer's Family

Its always a pleasure to get to photograph dear friends. I had a fun (but chilly!) afternoon with this awesome family. Its been amazing to watch them grow through the trials over the past few years (their oldest daughter was in a horrific accident that even now today she still is recoveing from). They have been an example of pulling together, staying commited, and putting family first. I'm so glad to call you my friends!

I chose this verse because of Caralee & Gregs beautiful story of love and that sacrafice, commitment and hard work is all well worth it in the end. (BTW they were so cute on this shoot, they were not shy at all giving smooches in front of the camera, it was so cute!)

Owen & his family, The Bridgewater's

Meet Owen. He looks like any typical 6 year old boy, but unlike most 6 year old little boys Owen has endured more pain and heartache than most adults.
Owen has Leukemia.
He was diagnosed in June and has since undergone weekly chemo treatments and numerous spinal taps and bone marrow biopsies. He still has a couple months of weekly treatments and then will have monthy treatments for the next 3 years. Throughout all of this, he has maintained a positive attitude and his fun loving personality.
I felt honored when Owens Mom contacted me about doing some family portraits before Owen lost his hair from the next round of chemo. What a sweet little boy he is, I enjoyed a perfect fall afternoon with Owen & his sweet family. This is my first (of many, I hope) "Same Difference" sessions featuring individuals with special needs.
Love & Hugs to Owen and his family as they continue through this journey.

I think the Bridgewaters know all too well how through times like these all you have is faith, so I felt this was a perfect verse for them.
